  • Getting .info domains indexed

Like a lot of people, I bought about 100 .info domains for adding Build a Niche Store (BANS) to as per Vic's instructions.  The reasons I bought so many is because there was a sale on a Go Daddy where the .info domain only cost .99c.  That is really cheap and unfortunately a load of spammers also bought something like 100,000 .info domains and used YACG on their BANS sites.  Sorry, I really don't understand what that's all about but basically Google has de-indexed any .info domain with BANS on it.

I have heard that if you put some other type of site on the .info domain it's OK, so I've decided to put a blogger blog on it.  My first attempt is Enjoy Tea which at the moment doesn't have a lot of content but it should be enough to get indexed.

I have done some comments over at some of the Blogger Unleashed contest blogs and have also thrown a link from this Xanga blog.  It will be interesting to see if google indexes it or not.  When it does get indexed I'm going to let it sit for a couple of weeks and then add a BANS site to a subfolder to see how Google reacts to that.  I'm still waiting for the site to get indexed but my feeling is that I should be indexed hopefully tomorrow.

UPDATE:  I have written a full post about it here:  How to Get .info BANS Sites Indexed.

  • 2 Types of Web 2.0

I think a lot of people get very confused about how to use web 2.0 and what benefits can be found from it.  There are two main trains of thought when it comes to web 2.0.

    1.  Web 2.0 For Social Blogging to Get Readers and Fame

A lot of people will start off blogging by following the likes of Rowse, Chow and now Middlebrook.  The purpose is to use social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Digg and Delicious which in turn generates vistors.  These visitors then leave comments telling you how wonderful you are and how they will become one of your new RSS feed readers.  They also encourage you to leave lots of wonderful and useful comments on other blogs so that the blog owners reciprocate and also some of their readers will click on your link and become avid readers.

So what's the problem with this?  Nothing really, as long as you are a genuine exert in your field or you have a writing style that is somehow compelling.  You also need to understand that success is not overnight and you can easily wait years before you start to see any proper money come in.  Unfortunately most of use don't have the skills or expertise to acheive our goals which is why people tend to give up blogging after only 3 months.

    2.  Web 2.0 For Anchored Backlinks

See, the confusion arrises when people don't want to get involved in social blogging.  They either aren't that interested in the topic of their blog or simply don't want to be concerned with replying to comments.  Also, social blogging is very difficult to monetise due to the fact that readers actually read the content rather than click on your ads.  If they don't click on your ads then you don't make any money.

Why we do certain aspects of social blogging is just so that we can get backlinks.  There are so many techinqiues that can be used such as blog commenting, squidoo lenses, HubPages, free blogging platforms such as Blogger and Xanga plus social bookmaking sites like Mister Wong and Mixx.  We aren't interested in getting visitors and luring them to visit our site due to compelling titles.  We just want the links.  In fact, if we do end up getting comments and RSS subscribers we are doing something VERY WRONG.

  • DUI Lawyers For Adsense Niche

I know that Vic from Blogger Unleashed often talks about DUI lawyers for giving good CPC on Adsense.  I was never sure what a DUI lawyer was.  So I had a look up and it appears that DUI stands for Driving Under the Influence.  Wow, I didn't know that there were specialist lawyers just for that.  In the UK I know that there are lawyers that deal with diving offences in general but can't find any just for DUI.

There's a guy called Nick Freeman who is pretty famous for getting lots of UK celebrities off on their driving offences.  He's known as Mr Loop Hole because he can get just about anyone off even although they are guilty as sin.  He finds all sorts of loop holes that most other lawyers wouldn't even think of.

I think this is terrible and just proves that the law is an ass and basically you can get away with just about anything as long as you have enough money.

  • I Really Miss The Gym

Where I used to live for a year I really enjoyed going to the gym.  It was one of those modern types with the glass wall on one side.  It was really bright and airy plus has all the latest gym equipment such as elliptical trainers, rowing machines and weights.

I have had a look at my options here and all I can find is a really pretty old gym that should probably knocked down and re-built and a really "hard core" weight training place which according to my cousin is full of men "screaming".  Mmm, don't think I'll be going there.

Somehow I just like to go to the gym and don't particularly like to exercise at home.  Really, my only exercise is long country walks at the weekend.  I suppose it's better than nothing but doesn't help at all with my upper body stregth which is something I severely lack.

  • Blogger Unleashed Contest To Begin

Pretty excited about what the Blogger Unleashed contest has in store for us.  Click here for my blog.  I guess mine will be mostly about celebs as I really don't know about sport and politics, especially when it comes to American sports and politics.  Anyway, I got my blog indexed some time ago and so far my only post is about Marsha Markov stealing Lindsay Lohan's fur coat.
