We've been thinking for a while about moving up north where properties are much cheaper and it's generally a whole load quieter than in the city. However I notices one pretty amazing property. There is nothing to shout about in terms of how it looks, actually it's not all that great at all. But what it does have in its favour is the fact that it's right next to a sea loch and you have to go down a track road to get to the house. There are no roads and no neighbours.
Unfortunately there also isn't any mains electricity and the only electricity that can be generated is with an oil generator which only provides limited electricity. I wondered about solar but the truth is that Scotland doesn't get a whole load of sun all year round and it would also depend on what direction the house is facing. Unfortunately I also think the property will lack any sort of broadband which would also be of a hindrance to me because I rely on the internet so much.
